Bridging Cross-Continent Sharing, Millenial Fest, and PPI of Belgium to Hold
MillenialHubMillenialFest and the Indonesian diaspora which are members of the Overseas Indonesian Students’ Association (PPI) of Belgium is going to hold MillenialHub on April 17, 2021.
The program, which will become a meeting place for local ideas with global insight, will later be filled with talkshow sessions and inspiring speeches.
Danial Iskandar, CEO of MillenialFest, said that the idea of conducting this activity had long been a dream of his party and that colleagues at PPI of Belgium had warmly welcomed it.
"Moreover, in Belgium, Indonesia has brilliant talents who have a track record and experience grappling with local and global issues," Danial said on Tuesday (13/4/2021).
Topics discussed through two talkshow sessions at MillenialHub are ‘Indonesian Global Talent’ and ‘Local Creative Heroes.’
The speakers at the talkshow about Indonesia's global talents will be President Commissioner of Telkomsel, Mr.Wishnutama, Program Manager of Google Asia Pacific, AndariGusman, and Associate Professor at KU Leuven of Belgium,TegoehTjahjowidodo, Ph. D.
Meanwhile, speakers at the talkshow discussing local figures in the creative industry are the Chairman of IdEA/ VP BukalapakBimaLaga, CEO of Vocraf Fina SilmiFebriyani, CEO of Amartha Andi Taufan Garuda Putra, and Country Manager Too Good to Go Belgium, Franco Prontera.
Besides, there will be an inspiring session from Mr. Erick Thohir (the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises) and Mr. Muhammad Lutfi (the Minister of Trade). They will speak about the national economic revival and trade in the digitalization age, respectively.
"This event also serves as a kind of support and tangible contribution to the government and various stakeholders concerned with human capital development," Iskandar said.
This first MillenialHub series launches during Ramadan, the Muslim holy month. As a result, the discussion will focus on Indonesian students' Ramadan experiences in Belgium, specifically from Rania Zhahirah, a Business Administration major at KU Leuven, and BasyiruddinQoryWicaksono, a master student at KU Leuven's Faculty of Engineering Technology.
“We welcome Ramadan by staying productive. In fact, in this moment of Ramadan, friends at MillenialFest and PPI Belgium want to be the pioneers of young people who become productivity drivers in gaining insights and wisdom,” Danial concluded.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of PPI Belgium, NadyaImmanuella, said that through MillenialHub, friends, and colleagues in Belgium can be nostalgic with their homeland because they meet Indonesian faces and especially listen to the insights that will be shared by great figures from their motherland.
“We also invite all big families of the Indonesian diaspora abroad through PPI Dunia[Overseas Indonesian Students Association Alliance] to participate in the discussion in this forum later,” said Nadya.
With this event, he hopes that it can spark enthusiasm for Indonesia's young generation to continue working for the nation both at the national and international levels.
The event held on Sunday (17/4/2021) at 14.00 -17.30 Western Indonesian Time (WIB) will be opened by the Chairman of PPI Belgium NadyaImmanuella, Chairman of the MillenialFest Danial Iskandar, and the Indonesian Ambassador to Belgium and EU HE Andri Hadi.
