Pieces of Paradise In The Indian Ocean

Banyak Islands are a group of islands off the west coast of Aceh, specifically in the Aceh Singkil Regency. Located directly on the Indian Ocean (about 20 miles). It has a land area of 135 km2 and a sea area of 200,000 ha. Banyak Islands, as an archipelago, have both long and lovely beaches and a reasonably vast sea. There have been as many as 99 islands registered.
The Banyak Islands’ cluster is divided into two sub-districts, that is, Pulau Banyak sub-district on Balai Island and Pulau Banyak Barat sub-district on Haloban Island. The total population reaches 4,457 people in Pulau Banyak sub-district and 3,254 people in the Pulau Banyak Barat sub-district.
The proximity of the Banyak Islands to the vast Indian Ocean ensures that the sea in this area is free of significant industrial waste or pollution caused by heavy maritime traffic. It differs from the Malacca Strait coastal region, specifically to the east of Sumatra, which lacks a scenic and clean coastline due to high pollution levels.
Almost all of the islands in this area have the potential for lovely and charming underwater tourism. The very pure seawater produces color gradations from white to Tosca blue to dark blue that is very pleasing for our eyes. For the seawater's transparency, the seabed packed with coral reef species looks pretty transparent and breathtaking, decorated with colorful fish that swim freely in the coral reefs. Apart from being breathtaking, underwater tourism in this region is extraordinary as it has not been influenced by modernization or a strong tourism industry.
